MUSINGS IN A CORRIDOR

by Shaon Sengupta(1st sem.)

Walking along this corridor,
this hours, this setting!
Myself, the might, and
an empty corridor,
long passages, lit up,
clearly, if not brightly,
and the silent much-much!
of the footwear, trying as if gently,
To wake up the floor,
Feeling footsteps behind, I turn around,
But behind and ahead
the scenes are the same.
The corridor is bereft of people,
And all so well lit,
No doubts, no fears can one entertain,
Ahead, some alleys past?
the lights are off for a few yard's space,
And then, lights again,
In this darkness, shadows seem to flirt, in and out,
Silent shadows,
Silence like a throbbing vein on a
tense neck, felt
All fanciful events and images are,
localised, in this little area of darkness,
So engrossed, I get, I fail to move,
For once, I get there
It'll be over, perhaps, once and for all,
So from afar, I dream a little or
a little more,
And build fantasies and create stories,
And put nows, thens and whens,
To the little stretch of darkness, between
the two clear zones of light
A little place of big fantasies,
An area of darkness and of dreams,
Dreams of a dreamer,
in a desolate corridor.

THE DEATH OF A CADAVER

by Divya Shakti(1st sem.)

Hush-sh.....,No smoking.
Enter the DH and a smell pierces you
-Of embalmed cadavers-formalin? Its true.
Lying on the 'steel grave'
Clad in a sheet-white, in deep slumber-sweet?
-Rests the calm cadaver with black tanned skin.
Could you ever imagine, it was someone's kin!

There lies our teacher-tutor and guide
with eyes closed fast in meditation-be guile
To cut through its skin-as tough as 'it'self
Taking heed not to damage with sharp blade leaf

The chest was split open,
With its bosom still 'deep';
The ribs you could count
Through the fat so lean

Really-a penance, and a finance must have seen,
The 'Neo-beheaded' cadaver-composed and serene
'Patiently' waiting to be 'spirited' and 'cotton healed'
-left to itself and sung by lark O'night,

it awaits its 'death'
willing a new lease
-of new life
that, some 'unknown' may live

MY FIRST TIME...

by Rajanshu Verma et al(1st sem.)

The sky was dark
the moon was high
All alone
just her and I.
her hairs were so soft
her eyes so blue
I knew just what
she wanted to do
Her skin so soft
her legs so fine
I ran my fingers down her spine.
I didn't knew how to do
But I tried my best
to place my hand on her breasts
I remember my fear
my fast beating heart...
but slowly she spread
her legs apart
And when she did it
I feel no shame
All at once
the white stuff came.
At last, it finished
its all over now
my first time
milking a cow.
