Definition of
ragging in AIIMS:
"Ragging is defined as a healthy, non-sexual interaction between seniors
and juniors within the limits of fun."
Three
rules of ragging are:
1) Seniors are always right
2) Juniors are always wrong
3) In case of any discrepancy, follow the above two rules.
Institute
chair:
It is defined as a posture in which a "fatcha"
pretends to be sitting on a chair when there is no chair around. The posture
compulsorily includes a straight back with knees bent to 90 degrees and arms
resting on the "supposed" armrests.
Institute
murga:
It is a little different from the "murga" you
used to be in your classrooms. Both the hands should first pass between both
thighs and then hold the ears after looping the legs. You are expected to have
your "bottoms up" in this position.
Dress
code:
For boys: Get a haircut short enough so that ur
hairs do not come in hands of seniors. Wear white shirt (without pocket), black
trousers (without pleats), white plain socks (with no colours/design/patterns on
them), black shoes (with no fancy design, gaudy stuff on them).
For girls: Yellow "kameez", green "chunni", black "salwars/pajamis", red ribbons, oil-drenched hairs and a pair of bathroom slippers to wear on.

to address a male senior during ragging period ?
Mr. XYZ, sir.
How to address a
female senior during ragging period ?
Miss XYZ, madam.
1)
Never think that the girls in AIIMS are lenient
enough...they will take proper care of u during the ragging days!
2) However ur male seniors are too gentle to harm u in anyway....moreover we
promise you'll never get bored while being ragged by them.
3) Keep your hairs drenched in oil while u are in the girls hostel.
4) Girls are expected to be well versed in singing songs, playing dumb charades
or doing mimicry of others.
5) Keep your risorius muscle relaxed else you may be asked to wipe off your
smile :-)

Tips
to minimise ragging:
1) Keep ur eyes, ears, nose, throat well opened in ragging
time.
2) Always check the room no. before entering it.
3) Speak only when asked to and speak clearly.
4) Strictly follow the rules of ragging.
5) Do not try to escape from ragging, it would be harmful in the long run.
